PRABOWO SUBIANTO: TO BE THE BEST WE NEED TO WORK IN PERSEVERANCE


Pojok Utama. Prabowo Subianto has pointed out that Indonesians are frequently underestimated by other nations and we turn to be an inferior nation.  This topic becomes the hot issue in a discussion through Facebook channel in DIGDAYA TV.

 This statement comes from his real experience when he had the chance to have formal education in United Kingdom, Singapore and Hong Kong.


The word “inferior’ shows that how other nations have underestimated us a nation and I consider it as a humiliation. This unpleased experience has turned the young Prabowo to be more perseverant, discipline, and hard working person and he has strong mission; if one day he becomes the main leader of Indonesia he will turn his nation to stand equally with other nations.  Prabowo remembers vividly his past experience.

This also is the main reason why he enrolled in AKABRI rather than choosing George Washington University with letter of acceptance in hand already. He got it because he had tittle of Best Graduate in American University, London, United Kingdom. He surely believes that military pathway offers more chances to defend and participate in developing his nation.

Prabowo has chosen career in military as a combatant through special force so called KOPASSUS. His brilliant career in several military operations has brought him to get a trust to be Commander General of Red Beret Corps or KOPASSUS IN 1995.

During that time Prabowo initiated the climbing of Mount Everest, the highest mountain in the world. “I surely believe we can make it”. Let us get the chance to show how able we are in order to learn from the best. Indonesia needs to stand equally with other nations. Indonesia must be the first nation in Southeast to reach the top of Everest. Prabowo said Prabowo in firm manner.

“I summoned up all armies in my unit together with local civilian climbers from Wanadri and Mapala. They were selected and trained by Anatoli Boukreev from Russia.   As the result Indonesia is the first nation in Southeast Asia reaching the top of Mount Everest. Prabowo explained this in full enthusiasm.

Choosing Anatoli Boukreev as trainer is one reason. He is well known for his reputation to climb mountains in 8,000 above the sea level. He is an elite mountaineer among Everest climbers.  In 2015 a film titled Everest has been released inspired from the true story and Boukreev is one of the main actors of that film.

Boukreev also writes a book “The Climb: Tragic Ambition on Everest” summarizing his experience in climbing Month Everest. Boukreev told the story about Prabowo and KOPASSUS and how he trained Indonesians who never see snow and briefly turned to be the conquistador of Month Everest in 1997.

Prabowo Subianto has proved that to be the best needs to learn from the best.
